Meet the dedicated team of writing, editing and marketing experts behind the Ford Street Publishing brand.
DirectorPaul began his publishing career in 1974. He published Australia’s first fantasy novels a decade before the major publishers had fantasy lines. He has written around 140 books and a similar amount of short stories and edited around eighty anthologies. He has received both the A Bertram Chandler and the inaugural Peter McNamara awards for life time achievement in Australian science fiction.
editorRobyn was a VCE Maths and English tutor before working in primary schools, where she has spent over twenty years running library and IT departments. She has organised numerous book fairs, literary festivals, seminars and workshops as well as edited a number of Ford Street titles.
EditorNan was Senior Editor at Oxford University Press before she began freelancing. She’s worked for most major publishers and with some of Australia’s finest writers, editing both fiction and non-fiction for adults, young adults and children. Nan has also written and contributed to thirty or so books of fiction and non-fiction. She loves natural history, dogs, birdwatching, walking in the bush and on the beach.
Editorial Dept.Abigail Cini is an editorial assistant. Her favourite book is The Princess Bride by William Goldman. She has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Publishing and Communications. In her free time, Abigail likes to bake, go to the cinemas and explore walking trails.
Editorial Dept.Stella Black freelances in Ford Street’s editorial department. She enjoys reading young adult books and is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and Theatre Studies and Creative Writing, at the University of Melbourne.
Editorial Dept.Sezer is in editorial at Ford St and has recently completed his Bachelor of Arts majoring in Creative Writing and Literary Studies at Victoria University. In his time off he enjoys reading, spending time with his dog Ramsay, and reviewing movies on his YouTube channel.
Editorial Dept.Jamisyn holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing from the University of Melbourne. She has been published in Voiceworks, Room Magazine and F*EMS Zine, and has edited journals such as Antithesis, Judy's Punch, CAMP Magazine and Ablaze Zine. Most recently, she worked with Grattan Street Press on their newest release, This Is Us Now. When she's not writing or editing, she's drinking her body weight in coffee.
Editorial Dept.Erin is in Ford Street's editorial department. She has a background and moonlight interest in poetry and is the founding editor of Mantissa Poetry Review. She has a Bachelor in Creative Writing (RMIT) and is completing her Master's in Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing at The University of Melbourne. In her down time, Erin enjoys reading and live music.
Digital & Web Services Dept.Min freelances in Ford Street's digital and web services department. She's been a web developer for nearly 15 years and has a Cert IV in Information Technology majoring in Multimedia. Min looks after the Ford Street Publishing and Creative Net Speakers websites and undertakes a variety of other digital and marketing tasks ranging from newsletter publication to submission of eBooks to online sellers. When not coding, Min can be found with a coffee in hand, running around with her vivacious 6-year-old son.
