Juliet Marillier is an award-winning author of twenty historical fantasy novels for adults and young adults, as well as a book of short fiction. Her novels combine historical fiction, folkloric fantasy, romance and family drama.
She was born and educated in Aotearoa New Zealand and now lives in Western Australia.
Juliet has won many awards for her writing, including five Aurealis Awards and four Sir Julius Vogel Awards; the American Library Association’s Alex Award; the Prix Imaginales and the 2019 Sara Douglass Book Series Award for the Blackthorn & Grim series.
When not writing, Juliet is kept busy by her beloved rescue dogs Rocky and Bramble. She has four adult children and nine grandchildren.
