Naomi Woodward has worked extensively in the Australian Arts, Education, Libraries and Bookselling industries as a scriptwriter and performer in children’s entertainment and as a seasoned performer in theatre education around Australia.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Theatre Studies, a Diploma of Education in English/Drama, and has trained with Trinity College London, receiving an Associate Diploma in Speech and Drama. With a strong foundation in literature and critical thinking, her debut picture book Moon Sailors (Ford Street Publishing. 2022) is currently in pre-production for a puppetry adaptation. In 2024, she received the South Side Festival Locally Grown Content 2024 Grant for roving marine-based puppetry, which now tours Victorian literary and coastal festivals.
When she is not photographing mushrooms in the wild, she works as a Children’s and Youth Librarian, and as an ongoing writer/copywriter for the game ‘Illustrated’ exclusive to Apple Arcade and Apple Vision Pro.
